Solar Panel Critter Guard for Frankfort Homes

Are birds or leaves building up beneath your panels? A mesh screen around the array closes that space.

Why Do Birds Move In Under Solar Panels?

Why is the space under an array so attractive? It is covered from rain, it holds warmth and it is out of reach of most predators. Pigeons settle in, and squirrels sometimes follow. Leaves, twigs and nesting material pile up, along with droppings, and the debris can stay damp against the shingles. What is the fix? A critter guard. Solar Panel Removal Frankfort installs a non-penetrating mesh screen around the outside of the array. It fastens to the panel frames instead of the roof, so the roofing is not drilled. Air still passes beneath the panels, but birds and debris are kept out. When is the best time to add one? During a detach and reset, because the area under the array is fully open and can be cleared before the screen goes on. Can it go on an array that is not being removed? Yes, after we clean out what can be reached from the edge. Either way, the outside of your array ends up closed and tidy.

What Is Included?

A complete screen around the array.

  • Edge check

We look at the outside of the array and how wide the opening is.

  • Clearing out

Old nests and debris pulled out wherever we can get to them.

  • Mesh that does not pierce the roof

Fastened to the panel frames, not the roofing.

  • Neat seams

Corners and joins trimmed to sit tight.

  • Airflow kept

Air still moves beneath the panels.

How Does It Go On?

  1. What are you noticing?

Describe the birds, the noise or the debris and give us a sense of the array's size. A firm price follows by phone.

  2. Can the space be cleared?

During a reset, fully. Otherwise, as far as can be reached from the edge.

  3. Is the edge closed?

The mesh goes all the way around, and we check for any gaps before finishing.

Why Add a Critter Guard With Us?

  • Roofing left undrilled

The screen clips onto the array frame.

  • One visit instead of two

Fitting it during a reset saves a separate trip.

  • Tidy from the curb

Neatly trimmed so the array still looks clean.

  • Non-penetrating mesh
  • Cleanout first
  • Closed all the way around
  • Airflow maintained
