Detach and reset
Solar Panel Removal and Reinstallation in Frankfort
Need the panels out of the way for a new roof? We take them down, look after them and bring them back working.
What Does a Detach and Reset Actually Involve?
Why can the roof not be replaced with the panels in place? Because the roofer needs the whole surface, and the attachments that hold the array have to be rebuilt in the new roof. So the array comes off, waits, and goes back. Solar Panel Removal Frankfort does each piece with care. What comes first? A safe electrical shutdown and disconnect, so nobody is near live circuits. Then the modules, rails and conduit are unbolted and lowered, and each module is tagged to the spot it came from and counted. Where do the panels go? Into protected storage, handled and stored under insurance, for as long as the reroof takes. What happens on the new roof? Fresh attachments are installed and every penetration is flashed before a single rail returns. How do you know it worked? The modules go back in their original layout, the wiring is restored and generation is measured against the reading we took before removal. You get photos and a record of the work, and you end up with what you wanted all along: a new roof and a system that still runs.

How Does It Run?
When is your roofer starting?
We plan from that date. After a site visit, you get a firm price on the phone, normally inside 48 hours, and the order of work.
When do the panels come down?
Ahead of tear-off. Shutdown, unbolting, tagging and storage are finished before the roofing crew climbs up.
When do they go back?
Once the new roof is on. New attachments are flashed in, the modules return and generation is checked.
